Building Lasting Habits With Board and Train

Our Board and Train program is the core of Equilibrium Canine’s services. During Board and Train, your dog lives with Nick for 4-6 and becomes part of his family, pack, and daily routine. Over the course of these weeks, your dog learns skills which include lead work, off-leash obedience, proper socialization, and behavioral skills through everyday triggers. We don’t believe in simulating an environment for dogs to learn, we bring them out into the world and teach them as triggers and distractions  arise.

Improving Leash Manners for Winchester Daily Life

Walking your dog on a leash shouldn’t be a headache. Our goal is to get your dog neutral on a lead by conditioning them to the lead’s physical pressure and acclimating them with triggers in the environment. Winchester requires all dogs to be on a leash within town limits, so how your dog behaves makes a difference. Our lead work group classes focus on our goal of connecting dog and handler, to prompt a dog to think before acting towards its surroundings.

Behavior Modification Program for Winchester Dogs

Our behavior modification programs in Winchester are designed to fit your dog’s needs and how they think, feel and respond to triggers. Winchester dogs may be calm until they have to chase a squirrel into the woods, whine at a bike passing by, or barking at a bird landing in front of them.

Our plan will help them learn safety, distance, and pattern building. We work with your family to create practical strategies to help your furry friend feel more calm and confident. Learn more about behavior modification programs.

Private Day Train Program for Individual Needs

Many dogs could benefit from individualized instruction. Our day train program teaches Winchester dogs obedience and lead work skills. After a full day of practicing with the pack, Nick will spend 30 minutes 1:1 with your pet to review their skills and any concerns. Perfect for busy Winchester pet parents who are looking for private teaching without a major commitment.

Pack Day Program

Our pack program gives Winchester dogs an opportunity to interact with other dogs. The pack, a hand-selected group of under 15 dogs of varying behavioral stages, spends the day covering lead work, long line work, and socialization.

Winchester Dog Owner’s Premier Choice

When we began working with dogs in Winchester, we understood that training looks different in a suburban setting. Our idea is that human-dog connections matter more than any technique we could teach your dog, that’s exactly why we focus on the relationship first. Once your dog trusts you, they’ll be able to pick up the capabilities that you are hoping for them.
