At Equilibrium Canine, we provide comprehensive training sessions that combine canine-psychology and positive reinforcement to develop well-behaved dogs. Our owner, Nick de Moraes, is a certified trainer with deep-rooted connection with canines. Whether you have a new, unruly puppy or an old dog that can’t learn new tricks, Equilibrium can help.
Our Expert-led Services for Reading Residents
Board and Train Program
In our award-winning “Board and Train” program, your dog will spend four to six weeks living with our owner, Nick, and his dog pack. Together, your dog and Nick will cultivate necessary skills, from how to behave at a busy, farmers market to behaving while off-leash. Once the four to six weeks are up, your dog will return home with a new set of skills and confidence.
Lead Work Training
With our Lead Work Training, our team at Equilibrium will teach your dog how to become more well-behaved on walks. Your dog will learn how to avoid pulling on the leash, how to stay calm on-leash while around other dogs, and how to walk by your side. Once your dog has shown progress, we’ll then teach them the same skills off-leash.​
Private Day Train
Not everyone has time to train their dog. At Equilibrium, we recognize this with our private day training option. Drop your dog off with us for the day and we’ll provide specialized training mixed with supervised play. At the end of the day, we’ll give you a run-down on your dog’s development and how you can further support them with our end-of-training consultation.​
